TPP NIKOLA TESLA B – THE VIBRATING SCREEN DRIVE

RECONSTRUCTION OF THE VIBRATING SCREEN DRIVE IN TPP “NIKOLA TESLA B”

On the TPP “Nikola Tesla”’s decindering system we have reconstructed a vibrating screen drive. On the existing screen, only the variation of oscillation amplitude by changing flywheel eccentricity was possible.

On the reconstructed screen drive, the continuous variation is possible for three variables: oscillation frequency and amplitude, as well as the exciting force vector inclination towards the screen conveyor axis. It enables an optimized work of the vibrating screen regardless of the coal quality, i.e. regardless of the cinder granulation.

During the better shaking of the cinder, the breaker gets worn out to a lesser extent. Significantly lesser amount of send gets in the breaker, which causes abrasion of the rotating hammers. Since the grid no longer gets obstructed, the sprinkler system for washing the grid with water is eliminated. This additionally decreases the wearing of the grid and breaker hammer. The screen can have both hydraulic and electric drive.
